This Spring School is designed to teach elementary Taiwanese (Ho-lo) language and explain its application in contemporary Taiwanese popular culture. In addition to a systematic introduction to Tâi-gí phonetics, phonology, morphology, grammar and syntax as well as practical exercises in listening, speaking, reading and writing, the Spring School will also provide special lectures of the history and current situation, aspects of contemporary Taiwanese culture, such as the performing arts, calligraphy, cinema, and literature.

Credits and Registration
The Spring School is credited with 3 ECTS and open to all RUB students with an interest in Taiwanese language and culture. Knowledge of Chinese is an advantage. Please contact your respective academic advisor first in order to clarify whether the course can be credited to your degree program.
